A directory should help you find tools, not collect a profile of you.

Browsing

You don’t need an account to browse. Essential session cookies protect forms and keep administrators signed in. Public pages load Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tags. The data collected depends on the tags enabled in that container. Admin and login pages do not load it; the application does not add submission contact details to the data layer. Server logs may record technical request information for security and troubleshooting.

AI tool searches

The public MCP connection works without a directory account or email address. We record search terms, category and pricing filters, dates, search frequency and returned tool slugs in private admin reports for 90 days. We keep daily tool appearance and detail-request totals longer. Common email, URL, long-number and credential patterns are removed from stored search terms, but automatic removal is incomplete: send task keywords rather than client details or private conversation text.

Search records do not contain account identities or raw IP addresses. Temporary keyed network hashes are used for rate limits and to suppress repeat appearances for 30 minutes. Technical server logs may still contain IP addresses. Public cards show aggregate appearances only. Connecting does not subscribe you to email. Connection instructions and how counts work.

Submitting a tool

We store the tool information, your name and your email to review and manage your submission. Approved tool details and any approved icon become public. Uploaded images are re-encoded to remove file metadata and stay private until approved. Your name and email are never displayed in the directory or included in its listing export.

Submission emails

Resend delivers a submission alert to the directory owner and an approval email to the address you provided when your tool is published. Resend processes the recipient address and email content to deliver these messages. Approval emails include your tool name and listing link; private review notes and uploaded files are not included. You can reply to the approval email to request a correction.

The weekly tool email

If you sign up, we store your email address, signup source, consent version, and confirmation or unsubscribe dates. You must confirm your subscription before receiving the newsletter. Submitting a tool does not subscribe you. Resend processes your address and email content to deliver editions you opted into. Each edition has an unsubscribe link; bounces and spam complaints stop further newsletter sends. We retain the subscription status to respect your choice.

Newsletter links use campaign tags to measure visits and tool clicks through our existing analytics. We do not put your email address or subscriber identifier in these links. Confirmation and unsubscribe pages do not load Google Tag Manager. AI may prepare newsletter drafts from public listing details; subscriber details are excluded.

Assisted review

When assisted review is enabled, OpenAI receives the tool name and website for web research, then the product description, pricing, category and research notes to prepare listing copy and identify possible spam. Your contact name and email and uploaded image are excluded from these AI requests. Research notes, source links and recommendations are stored privately with the listing. The review can be approved by an editor; automatic publication is limited to explicitly trusted domains that pass the configured checks. These checks cannot guarantee that a product is genuine or safe.

Contact and removal

This directory is run by Alfred Simon of Pitcocy. To request access, correction or removal of your submission or contact details, use the Pitcocy contact page. Submission details are retained while needed to manage the listing or its review; you can request deletion.
