SwipeHarbor break-even ROAS calculator

A simple in-browser calculator to find the per-order break-even ROAS from revenue and non-ad variable costs.

What it does

What this tool does and who uses it SwipeHarbor’s Break-even ROAS calculator is a free, in-browser utility for advertisers and e-commerce operators who want a quick per-order check of how much of an order can pay for ads. It’s intended for planners who already have per-order averages for revenue and variable costs and need a fast, local calculation without signing in. Per-order break-even ROAS calculation Enter revenue per order (after discounts and refunds, excluding sales tax) and per-order non-ad variable costs such as product cost, fulfillment, payment fees and commissions. The calculator subtracts those variable costs from revenue to show the amount left for ads, the contribution margin before ads, and the revenue ÷ contribution ratio as the break-even ROAS. Formula, example and transparency The page explains the underlying math and displays a worked example so you can confirm your assumptions. That documentation shows how inputs produce the “amount left for ads” and how the break-even ROAS is derived, making it useful to teach team members or verify a quick scenario. Local, client-side computation and privacy All calculations run in your browser and the site notes it does not send inputs to a server. Inputs remain in the tab and JavaScript must be enabled. This design is convenient when you prefer not to paste sensitive numbers into hosted forms. Context and limits The calculator models contribution before ads only and does not include fixed overhead, profit targets, repeat purchases, attribution, return rates or other broader profit factors. Unknown costs must be left blank and will prevent a result; use consistent per-order averages to get meaningful outputs. The tool is best used as a quick scenario check, not a comprehensive profit forecast. Related free tools The Break-even ROAS calculator is part of SwipeHarbor’s Free Tools collection alongside other no-signup utilities (cost calculators, UTM builder, editable brief). The calculators do not fetch competitor ads or platform estimates; you supply the input data and can combine the outputs with your own planning workflows.
