Google Ads account audit and monitoring tools

Decide whether you need a one-off investigation, recurring account checks or an ongoing improvement queue. These tools approach that work differently. Use the same account and date range, then compare the findings you can reproduce. PPC OS is included with an ownership disclosure because I built it with PPC Mastery.

BEFORE YOU OPEN ANOTHER TAB

Make the trial useful.

  1. Write down the account goals, conversion definitions and campaign types. Keep your own checklist so the tool is not grading itself.
  2. Take three findings from each trial and trace them to the underlying account evidence. Separate a setting you intentionally chose from a problem.
  3. Prioritise the useful findings and estimate the work to act on them. Agree who reviews recommendations and who can make account changes.

The shortlist.

Different jobs. Different starting points.

Ask an agent to prepare an audit with context and evidence.

PPC OS ↗

PPC OS gives AI agents Google Ads workflows for tasks such as account audits, search-term analysis and campaign preparation. It combines account context with reusable skills and playbooks. Disclosure: I built PPC OS with PPC Mastery, so this is my own tool.

Consider it for
PPC specialists who want an agent to carry out account work and return a result they can inspect.
Before you commit
Read-only is the default; changes require approval. Check the current setup and AI subscription requirements. Start with a bounded task and inspect the evidence before applying recommendations.

Investigate account health and recurring checks.

Trueclicks ↗

TrueClicks helps teams monitor PPC account health and identify work that needs attention. It is a candidate for making recurring account checks more consistent across a team.

Consider it for
PPC teams comparing account monitoring and prioritisation workflows.
Before you commit
An account health score does not establish business performance. Ask which checks apply to your campaign types and whether the recommendations match the account strategy.
Combine audits and alerts with ongoing account management.

Adalysis ↗

Adalysis combines PPC audits, monitoring and optimisation workflows for Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. It brings automated checks, alerts and campaign management into one platform.

Consider it for
Teams that want recurring audits alongside ongoing PPC management.
Before you commit
Check which automation is enabled and who can apply changes. A triggered rule is a reason to investigate; it still needs the account goals and conversion setup for context.
Work through a queue of Google Ads improvement suggestions.

Opteo ↗

Opteo monitors Google Ads accounts and proposes improvements based on account data. It also includes performance views, spend tracking, reports and alerts.

Consider it for
Google Ads specialists who want a regular queue of recommendations to review.
Before you commit
Review each proposed change against your conversion data and commercial priorities. Check exactly what an improvement will change before pushing it to the account.
