Heap
Product analytics that captures user interactions automatically and enables visual analysis for product and growth teams.
What it does
Heap captures user interactions across web and mobile and gives product managers, analysts and engineers a visual interface to turn raw events into reports and cohorts without manual instrumentation. Autocapture Heap’s Autocapture automatically records clicks, form inputs, pageviews and other interaction events from a web snippet or mobile SDKs (iOS, Android). That raw, gapless event stream lets teams define events later rather than requiring every event to be pre-instrumented, which supports exploratory analysis and faster iteration. Visual event definition and reporting Heap provides a UI for creating events and building funnels, path, retention and cohort analyses from the captured data. Non-engineering users can define events in the Event Visualizer and run ad-hoc behavioral queries to find drop-offs, compare flows and create cohorts for targeting or experiments. Integrations and data pipelines Heap documents connectors to common destinations and sources, including data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, S3) and business systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Optimizely, Shopify). Teams use those connectors to push event streams into BI or to surface behavioral signals inside CRMs and marketing tools. Privacy controls and capture governance Heap includes capture controls and configuration options to limit or filter autocaptured inputs, plus a data deletion API to support privacy workflows. The documentation lists settings to disable specific capture behaviors and notes SDK-specific capture differences so engineering and privacy teams can manage sensitive data capture. SDK and interoperability notes Heap’s documentation documents differences in available event properties across Web, iOS and Android SDKs and provides guidance for framework-specific configuration to avoid UI or capture issues. These are implementation details to plan for when deploying across platforms.
