Plan an event worth the time

Read the agenda against your current work

Choose the problem you want to bring back ideas for, then inspect session descriptions and formats. A technical workshop, a broad conference and a networking event offer different kinds of value. Check whether the content assumes beginner, specialist or business-owner experience before committing your time.

Check the current edition before booking

Confirm dates, location, language, ticket inclusions and cancellation terms with the organiser. Look for details on workshop access, recordings and any separate bookings. Budget for travel and time away as well as the ticket, particularly when only part of the programme relates to your work.

Leave room to use what you learn

Arrive with a few questions and make space for conversations around them. Afterward, pick one idea to investigate, record its assumptions and decide where it could fit. Sharing that note with your team is more useful than returning with a folder of slides nobody opens.
